Group announces the launch of College Champittet’s “Year of Sustainability” engagements
The family council announced today the funding for the “Year of Sustainability” to build a stronger sustainability mindset with students, teachers and staff at Collège Champittet – Pully, Switzerland, one of the Swiss schools within the Nord Anglia Education Group. This will be the second collaboration with the school, which began with the invitation to the pre-screening of “An Inconvenient Sequel – Truth to Power” written by Al Gore. Through aquaponics and food waste recycling, we aim to provide the students with insights to sustainability. The projects will complement and run adjacent ongoing programmes with MIT STEAM and The Julliard School.
“It was the engaging and insightful discussions with the students after the showing of Al Gore’s movie that convinced us to support, with the Nord Anglia and the Collège Champittet community, the growing appetite for sustainability among the youth of today”.
