ViaTalenta Collections expands portfolio to include sustainable jewellery
The Group announced today the inclusion of sustainable pearl jewellery in the ViaTalenta Collections with an additional 2M CHF in funding over the next five years. Pearls and their oysters are emerging as one of the most sustainable products in ocean-based economies. There is a unique synergy between pearl quality, ocean health and conservation. Moreover, pearl farming offers economic development opportunities to remote communities. This investment represents the Group’s commitment to expand its impact in Myanmar and Southeast Asia and the ViaTalenta Foundation’s expansion of its arts and education programmes to the region.
“With an increasing threat from climate change and poverty, it is important to support both ocean-based economies and artisans, whose skills are at risk of being lost forever. Together with our partner, MyDesign, we are delighted to embark on this journey to bring sustainability to the region.”
